Biography
In addition to her film career, Joan Tetzel was recognized for her work on Broadway and the London stage. She portrayed Nurse Ratchett in the Broadway production of *One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest*. In the early 1970s, she appeared in the London play *How the Other Half Loves*. During that time, she also had a recurring role in the television series *Policewoman*. Her prominence as a stage actress was highlighted when her photograph appeared on the cover of *Life* magazine on February 14, 1948. She died in Sussex, England, from cancer.
