Biography

John Blake is an American makeup artist who received an Academy Award nomination for his work on the film *Hoffa*, shared with Ve Neill and Greg Cannom. He has served as a key makeup artist on films directed by Oliver Stone and the Coen brothers, including *Nixon*, *U Turn*, and *Fargo*. More recently, Blake has contributed to films such as *The Avengers*, the *Iron Man* trilogy, *There Will Be Blood*, and *Tropic Thunder*, among many others, over the course of a 30-year career.
