Biography
John Mengatti was an American actor best known for his role as Nick Vitaglia, Salami's cousin, on the CBS television series *The White Shadow*. He joined the cast during the second season and became a fan favorite, noted for his distinctive New York–style accent. In addition to his television work, Mengatti appeared in several other productions in the early 1980s. In 1982, he had guest roles on *The Facts of Life* and *CHiPs*, and in 1984, he appeared in the comedy sequel *Meatballs Part II*.
