Biography

Johnny Weir is a retired American figure skater and television commentator. He competed in two Olympic Games and earned a bronze medal at the 2008 World Championships. A two-time Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, he also claimed the 2001 World Junior title and three U.S. National championships from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, he became the youngest U.S. National champion since 1991 and the first skater to win three consecutive U.S. titles since Brian Boitano in the late 1980s. Weir also made history in 2007 as the first American to win the Cup of Russia.
