Biography
Jon Stein is an American fintech entrepreneur and the founder and chairman of Betterment, a leading online financial advisory platform in the United States. Betterment, often referred to as a "robo-advisor," manages over $18 billion in assets and offers services including a core retail platform, a 401(k) platform for businesses, and a digital advisory service for financial advisors. Stein served as Betterment's chief executive officer from its founding in 2010 until December 2020, when he was succeeded by Sarah Levy. He continues to oversee Betterment's operations under Betterment Holdings Inc.
