Jorja Fox

Jorja Fox is known for her major roles in three of television's most successful dramas: *ER* (1994), *The West Wing* (1999), and *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation* (2000). Before her acting career, she worked as a fashion model in her teenage years. She later studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York and with veteran actor William Hickey at HB Studios. Fox gained widespread recognition in 1996 when she joined the cast of *ER* (1994), appearing in 33 episodes as Dr. Maggie Doyle, a lesbian and vegetarian ER resident from Chicago's south side. She also had a recurring role in *The West Wing* (1999) as Gina Toscano, a Secret Service agent responsible for protecting the President's college-age daughter. Fox became a central figure in *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation* (2000), playing crime scene investigator Sara Sidle from 2000 to 2008. She returned as a guest star in 2009, had a recurring role in 2010, and was a regular again from 2011 until the show's conclusion in 2015. She reprised the role in 2021 for the first season of *CSI Vegas*. Fox shared in the 2005 Screen Actors Guild award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, as well as the show's 300th episode and the 2015 finale. Before the 2020 pandemic, she performed in two films and a CBS pilot. In addition to her acting work, Fox is co-founder of Seafox Productions, which has co-produced a musical about Dusty Springfield titled *Stay Forever: The Life and Music of Dusty Springfield*, staged in Los Angeles and New York City, and four feature documentaries. She is also an environmental and animal welfare advocate.
