Biography
Joseph Hannesschläger was born in Munich in 1962 and lived there throughout his life. He trained as an actor from 1988 to 1990 under Hilde Rehm and Beles Adam. From the start of his career, he worked equally in theater, television, and film.
On television, Hannesschläger appeared in more than 40 series and TV movies, including guest appearances in *Der Bulle von Tölz*. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Chief Inspector and farmer Korbinian Hofer in *Die Rosenheim-Cops*, which included over 400 episodes and four TV movies.
He died on January 20, 2020, at the age of 57, in a hospice in Munich, following complications from cancer.
