Joseph Ward Simmons, also known by the stage names Run, Rev. Run, or DJ Run, is an American rapper, producer, DJ, and television personality. He is best known as one of the founding members of the influential hip hop group Run-DMC, which played a pivotal role in popularizing hip hop music in the 1980s. Simmons is also recognized for his work as a practicing minister, a role that has earned him the nickname "Reverend Run." In addition to his music career, he has appeared on various television programs, expanding his presence in the entertainment industry.
