Joshua Alba

Joshua Lauren Alba was born on July 8, 1982, in Biloxi, Mississippi. His father is Mark Alba, and his mother is Cathy Alba. He has one sibling, Jessica Alba, who is also an actress. Joshua's father is of Mexican descent, which includes Spanish and Native American heritage, while his mother is of Danish and French Canadian descent. Joshua began his acting career at the age of 18 when he landed his first role in *Dark Angel* (2000), which also starred his sister. After *Dark Angel*, he dedicated himself to acting and took classes for a year and a half. Prior to that, he had been modeling for approximately two and a half years with the Next Modeling Agency. During his time as a model, he worked with brands such as Sketchers, Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Shows, and Teen Magazine, among others. In addition to acting, Alba was also a licensed realtor. He appeared in the film *Unrest* (2006), which was released in 500 theaters nationwide on the weekend of November 17, 2006. The film was later made available in Blockbuster video stores.
