Biography
Józef Oleksy was a Polish left-wing politician who served as Prime Minister of Poland from March 7, 1995, to February 7, 1996. During his tenure, he led the Democratic Left Alliance, a political coalition rooted in former communist parties. His government faced significant challenges, including economic difficulties and political instability. Oleksy resigned as Prime Minister amid allegations of espionage, which led to his subsequent arrest and conviction. After leaving office, he continued to be involved in Polish politics, though his career was marked by controversy.
