Biography
Krishnaswamy Bhagyaraj was an Indian filmmaker, actor, musician, and politician who made significant contributions to Tamil cinema. Working primarily in Tamil films, he also directed and acted in movies in other Indian languages. Bhagyaraj wrote and directed over 25 films and acted in more than 75, earning recognition as one of the most influential writer-directors in Tamil cinema during the 1980s. In addition to his work in film, he edited the Tamil weekly magazine *Bhagya* and authored several novels, showcasing his versatility and creative contributions beyond the silver screen.
