Biography

Kamini Kaushal was an Indian actress whose career in Hindi films and television spanned seven decades. She is regarded as one of the finest actresses in Hindi cinema and is especially known for her performances in classic films. She appeared in *Neecha Nagar* (1946), which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival that year. Another significant film in her career was *Biraj Bahu* (1954), for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 1956.
