Biography

Karen "Duff" Duffy is an American writer, model, television personality and actress who has also worked as a certified hospital chaplain and was formerly crowned Coney Island Mermaid Queen. In 1993 she was listed by People Magazine among its “50 Most Beautiful Women.” She received a diagnosis of neurosarcoidosis, a rare form of sarcoidosis, in 1995. Since that time she has written two books about living with chronic pain and serves as an advocate for pain patients through her membership in the Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Pain Patients.
