Biography

Karl-Anthony Towns Jr., also known by his initials KAT, is a Dominican-American professional basketball player who plays for the New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before entering the NBA, Towns played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats. He first gained international recognition when he was named to the Dominican Republic national team at the age of 16. Towns was selected as the first overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking the beginning of his professional basketball career.
