Biography

Karthik Sivakumar, known professionally as Karthi, is an Indian actor who works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor Sivakumar and began his career as an assistant director on his elder brother Suriya's 2004 film *Aayutha Ezhuthu*. Karthi made his acting debut as a lead in *Paruthiveeran* (2007). Over the course of his career, he has received critical acclaim and several awards, including four Filmfare Awards South and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
