Biography

Katherine Brown is an American politician and attorney who served as the 38th governor of Oregon from 2015 to 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, she was elected to the position and served two terms. Before becoming governor, Brown held various roles in Oregon state government, including as a state senator and as the state's Secretary of State. During her tenure as governor, she focused on issues such as climate change, healthcare, and education. Her leadership was characterized by efforts to address environmental concerns and expand access to public services. Brown left office in 2023 after completing her second term.
