Biography
Katherine Marie Helmond was an American actress known for her work in television. She gained prominence for her starring role as Jessica Tate on the sitcom *Soap* from 1977 to 1981 and later for her co-starring role as Mona Robinson on *Who's the Boss?* from 1984 to 1992. Helmond continued to appear in notable series, including *Coach* as Doris Sherman from 1995 to 1997 and *Everybody Loves Raymond* as Lois Whelan from 1996 to 2004. In addition to her television roles, she made guest appearances on various talk and variety shows throughout her career.
