Biography

Kathryn Grant, born Kathryn Ptacek, is an American writer and editor who has worked across multiple genres, including science fiction, fantasy, horror, suspense, and romance. Since 1981, she has published short stories and novels under her own name as well as under the pseudonyms Les Simons, Kathryn Atwood, Anne Mayfield, and Kathleen Maxwell. In addition to her writing career, Grant is the editor and publisher of *The Gila Queen's Guide to Markets*, a writers' market magazine. Her varied body of work and editorial efforts have contributed to her recognition within the literary and publishing communities.
