Biography

Brian Joseph McCook, known by his drag persona Katya Zamolodchikova, is an American drag queen, comedian, and actor. He gained fame for his appearances on *RuPaul's Drag Race*, where he placed fifth in Season 7 (2015), and *RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars*, where he was a runner-up in Season 2 (2016). Katya is also recognized for his work on the web series *UNHhhh* (2016–2023) and the television show *The Trixie & Katya Show* (2017–2018), which he co-hosted with fellow drag queen Trixie Mattel. The duo has become well-known for their comedic chemistry and online presence. Katya has also been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award.
