Kazuhiro Sano is a Japanese film director, screenwriter, and actor known for his work in the pink film genre during the 1990s. He is part of the "Four Heavenly Kings of Pink," a group that also includes directors Takahisa Zeze, Toshiki Satō, and Hisayasu Sato. Sano's films are characterized by their emphasis on relationships and romance, setting them apart from the more violent and sadistic elements common in other pink films of the time. His contributions to the genre have received critical recognition, including three consecutive Best Director awards at the Pink Grand Prix, as well as several Best Actor and Best Screenplay awards.
