Biography

Kelly Mantle made Oscars history by becoming the first openly non-binary person ever to be approved and considered by The Academy for both Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress categories for their role in the feature film *Confessions Of A Womanizer*. Kelly currently portrays Sheila, a fan-favorite character, in the OutTV/Amazon series *The Browns*. They have guest-starred on a number of network television shows, including *Lucifer*, *Modern Family*, *Mike & Molly*, and *Rizzoli & Isles*, among others. Kelly appeared in LOGO's stand-up comedy special *DragTastic NYC* and had a notable appearance on *RuPaul's Drag Race*. As a stage actor, Kelly has performed in over 50 plays, including *The Confusion Of My Illusion*, a critically acclaimed solo show that premiered at the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center. In addition to their acting career, Kelly is a singer, songwriter, and musician who has released three critically acclaimed albums and is currently working on their fourth. Kelly grew up in Oklahoma, like their uncle, the late Mickey Mantle. (Yes, Kelly is also a switch-hitter.) They earned a B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Oklahoma and are a graduate of Second City in Chicago.
