Biography

Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, known professionally as Kid Cudi, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and fashion designer. Born and raised in Cleveland, he moved to New York City to pursue a music career. He first gained recognition with his song "Day 'n' Nite," which he initially self-published on MySpace. The track became a viral hit and led to collaborations with producers Plain Pat and Emile Haynie, resulting in his debut mixtape, *A Kid Named Cudi* (2008). The mixtape helped establish his fanbase and brought him to the attention of rapper Kanye West, who signed him to his GOOD Music label by late 2008.
