Biography
Léa Pool is a Canadian and Swiss filmmaker known for her work in both documentary and feature film. Her career has been marked by numerous awards, including the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury, and she was the first woman to win the Best Film prize at the Quebec Cinema Awards. Pool's films often challenge stereotypes and avoid traditional narratives centered on heterosexual relationships, instead emphasizing individuality and personal expression. In addition to her filmmaking, she has contributed to film education as a professor at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
