Biography

Lenny Henry is a British comedian, actor, presenter, and writer known for his work in stand-up comedy and impressionist performances. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, appearing on popular shows such as the children's entertainment program *Tiswas* and the sketch comedy series *Three of a Kind*. In 1984, he launched *The Lenny Henry Show*, a program that blended sketch comedy and sitcom formats and continued until 2005. As one of the most prominent Black British comedians of his time, Henry's work often celebrated and parodied his African-Caribbean heritage.
