Biography

Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish singer-songwriter and musician who rose to international prominence with his single "Someone You Loved," released in 2018. The song topped the UK Singles Chart for seven weeks in 2019 and reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in November 2019. It was nominated for Song of the Year at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards and won the 2020 Brit Award in the same category. Capaldi also received the 2020 Brit Award for Best New Artist and was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. "Someone You Loved" became the bestselling single of 2019 in the UK and, in May 2020, was recognized as the longest-running top 10 UK single of all time by a British artist.
