Biography

Lindsay Jean Wagner is an American actress best known for her role as Jaime Sommers in the 1970s science fiction television series *The Bionic Woman* (1976–1978). She first appeared as the character in the series *The Six Million Dollar Man*. Her portrayal of Jaime Sommers made her a pop culture icon of the decade. In 1977, Wagner won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Dramatic Role, becoming the first actor or actress in a science fiction series to receive the honor. Beginning her professional acting career in 1971, Wagner has continued to work in a variety of film and television roles throughout her lengthy career.
