Biography

Lisa Sloan has an extensive background in theater, film, and television. In addition to her film and television credits, she starred for a year in the Broadway play *Gemini*, playing the role of Judith Hastings. She served as the standby for Gilda Radner in the Broadway play *Lunch Hour*, directed by Mike Nichols, and as the standby in the Broadway play *The Speed of Darkness* at the Belasco Theater in 1991. Off-Broadway, she performed lead roles at Playwrights Horizons in *Ladyhouse Blues*, *Angel City*, and *Living at Home*. She also appeared in regional theaters, including The Arena Stage in Washington D.C., The Williamstown Theater Festival, The Robert Lewis Acting Company, where she co-starred with Maureen Stapleton in *The Club Champions* and *The Widow*, and The American Repertory Theater in Boston, where she played Helena in *Midsummer Night's Dream* and Kathy in *Terry by Terry*. Her film credits include *The River*, *8 Million Ways to Die*, *Starting Over*, and *Blue Heaven*. Her television credits include guest appearances on *Dallas*, *Matlock*, *Family Ties*, *Fantasy Island*, *Our House*, *Paper Chase*, and *LA Law*, as well as a leading role in the movie of the week *Miracle of the Heart: A Boystown Story*. She played the lead character of Nicole on the daytime drama *The Edge of Night* for two years. Lisa is the Artistic Director of Oracular Theater and created, starred in, and produced an Equity show: *Journey to the Oracle*. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and Performance Arts from Catholic University in Washington D.C. and a Ph.D. from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Depth and Clinical Psychology.
