Biography
Lisandro Alonso was born on 2 June 1975. He is an Argentine film director and screenwriter associated with slow cinema and the New Argentine Cinema movement. His work is characterized by a minimalist and observational style, often depicting solitary individuals navigating isolated landscapes, with a blend of documentary and fictional elements. Seven of his feature films have premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. His 2014 film *Jauja* received the FIPRESCI Prize in the Un Certain Regard section.
