Biography

Lizzo, born Melissa Viviane Jefferson, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and actress. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and moved to Houston, Texas, at age 10. After college, she relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to begin her career in hip-hop. In 2013, she released her debut studio album, *Lizzobangers*, and followed it with *Big Grrrl Small World* in 2015. Her contributions to music and performance have made her a notable presence in contemporary pop culture.
