Biography
Lloyd Newton Morrisett Jr. was an American experimental psychologist known for his contributions to education, communications, and philanthropy. He co-founded the Children's Television Workshop, the organization responsible for creating the influential children's television show *Sesame Street*. Alongside Joan Ganz Cooney, Morrisett played a central role in the development and success of the show from its debut in 1969 until his death. Morrisett passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 93 due to natural causes.
