Louise Lovely was an Australian film actress of Swiss-Italian descent, recognized by film historians as the first Australian actress to achieve success in Hollywood. She signed a contract with Universal Pictures in 1914, marking a significant milestone in her career. During her time in the film industry, Lovely appeared in 50 American films and ten Australian films.
