Margaret Sidney

Harriett Lothrop was an American author who wrote under the pseudonym Margaret Sidney. She is best known for her popular children's book series, the Five Little Peppers. In addition to her writing, Lothrop managed her husband Daniel Lothrop's publishing company after his death. The couple later purchased The Wayside, a historic country house, which they worked to transform into a hub for literary activity. Lothrop also founded the Children of the American Revolution, an organization dedicated to educating young people about American history.
