Marla Gibbs is an American actress, singer, comedian, writer and television producer whose career has extended across seven decades. She is best known for portraying Florence Johnston, the maid to George Jefferson, on the CBS sitcom *The Jeffersons*, which aired from 1975 to 1985. Her work on the series earned her five Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
