Biography

Marsha Francine Warfield is an American actress and comedian best known for her role as bailiff Roz Russell on the NBC sitcom *Night Court*, which aired from 1986 to 1992. She later reprised the role in the 2023 revival of the series. Warfield also starred as Dr. Maxine Douglas on the sitcom *Empty Nest* from 1993 to 1995. Prior to her breakthrough on *Night Court*, she worked as a writer and performer on the short-lived *Richard Pryor Show*. Warfield grew up on Chicago's South Side and attended Calumet High School.
