Marvin Jerome "Bad News" Barnes was an American professional basketball player who played as a forward in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). He earned All-American honors while playing for Providence College. Barnes was known for his scoring ability and distinctive playing style, which contributed to his prominence throughout his career.
