Mary Wiseman

The daughter of Dorothy and Kevin Wiseman, Wiseman is the youngest of four children and has three older brothers. She was raised in Milford, Pennsylvania, and Gaithersburg, Maryland. She participated in the DC Shakespeare Theatre’s high school outreach program and earned a BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University. She studied at Juilliard School's Drama Division from 2011 to 2015, where she was classmates with Mary Chieffo, who later joined the cast of *Star Trek: Discovery*, and with actor Noah Averbach-Katz, whom she began dating in 2013. The couple married on February 16, 2019.

Wiseman has performed in several stage productions, including Nitzan Halperin's *Sow and Weep* (2008, Boston University College of Fine Arts in New York), Ariel Carson's *I Wanted it to Have a How & I Wanted it to Have a Verb* (2011, Dixon Place), and *Clybourne Park* (2013, Chautauqua Theater Company), in which she played Betsy/Lindsay.

Wiseman has also participated in productions and workshops of new plays at playwrights' theatres such as PS 122, The Public, Soho Rep, and New York Theatre Workshop.
