Massoud Hossaini is an Afghan-born photojournalist known for his work with Agence France-Presse. He has gained international recognition for his powerful photojournalism, including winning the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography and the World Press Photo Contest. Hossaini has also received several other prestigious awards for his work, including the William Randolph Hearst Award for Excellence in Professional Journalism in 2021, presented by San Jose State University's School of Journalism. His photography often captures the realities of conflict and humanitarian issues, particularly in Afghanistan and the broader region.
