Matt Barkley

Matthew Montgomery Barkley is an American former professional football player who played as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He gained recognition during his college career with the USC Trojans, where he set the Pac-12 Conference season record for touchdown passes as a junior. However, a shoulder injury during his senior year affected his draft prospects, leading to his selection in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Over the course of his NFL career, Barkley was a member of 11 different teams, primarily serving as a backup quarterback. His most notable role came in 2016 with the Chicago Bears, where he was the team's starting quarterback.
