Biography

Mayumi Wakamura is a Japanese actress who decided to pursue acting at sixteen after watching a stage production by Tatsuya Nakadai's troupe. She later joined his theater company as an actress. Wakamura made her television debut in 1987 at age 21 in the six-month Asadora series *Hassai Sensei*. Following this, she appeared in various TV shows, including TV movies and series. In 1988, she was cast in the drama *Kigakaikyo*, marking another step in her television career.
