Biography
Michael Hines is a Scottish television and film director known for his work on *Chewin' the Fat*, a Scottish sketch comedy show, and for directing all 62 episodes of the popular sitcom *Still Game*. He has also directed numerous television programs, short films, and the film *Instant Credit*, starring Billy Boyd. In 2019, Hines received an Outstanding Achievement Award from BAFTA Scotland for his contributions to *Still Game*. His first feature film, *Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps*, was released in the United States in 2024 and received critical acclaim. Hines has also served as a committee member for BAFTA Scotland from 2017 to 2018.
