Michelle Johnston

Michelle Johnston is a director, choreographer, and movement coach with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has worked both in front of and behind the camera, bringing her expertise to a variety of projects. Her most recent directorial work includes the Nickelodeon made-for-TV movie *Blurt*, starring Jace Norman and JoJo Siwa. She also directed and produced the 2016 film *A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits* for Freeform and Disney Channel. As a choreographer, her work has appeared on television shows such as *Castle*, *Mistresses*, *Parks & Recreation*, *American Dreams*, and *Mad Men*, and in films including *A Cinderella Story*, *The Curious Case of Benjamin Button*, and *Gangster Squad*. She has also collaborated with actors including Jane Krakowski, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Demi Moore, and John Travolta.

Johnston served as choreographer for Madonna’s *Who’s That Girl* World Tour and segments of the *Girlie Show* World Tour, which significantly elevated her career. She has worked with artists such as Alicia Keys, Richie Sambora, Lil’ Kim, Hillary Duff, and Kelly Rowland. She has also been active in the Broadway scene, working with Oscar-nominated actress Lesley Ann Warren in *Dream* and touring in the Tony Award-winning show *Fosse* in one of the lead roles. Johnston continues to seek out new opportunities to develop and showcase her diverse talents.
