Biography
Michael Gordon Oldfield is an English musician, songwriter, and producer, best known for his debut album *Tubular Bells* (1973), which achieved unexpected critical and commercial success. Primarily a guitarist, Oldfield played a variety of instruments, including keyboards, percussion, and vocals. Over his career, he incorporated a wide range of musical styles, such as progressive rock, world, folk, classical, electronic, ambient, and new age music. His extensive discography includes 25 studio albums, nine of which reached the UK top ten.
