Biography

Milton Gonçalves was a Brazilian actor and television director recognized as one of the most prominent Black actors in Brazil. He worked twice with acclaimed director Héctor Babenco, most notably in the film *Kiss of the Spider Woman*, in which he portrayed a police chief alongside William Hurt and Raúl Juliá. His contributions to film and television played an important role in the representation of Black actors in Brazilian media.
