Biography

Mitchell Joseph Landrieu is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 61st mayor of New Orleans from 2010 to 2018. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously held the position of the 51st lieutenant governor of Louisiana from 2004 to 2010. Known for his progressive policies and leadership during significant events in New Orleans, Landrieu's political career has been marked by efforts to address issues such as education reform, economic development, and social justice.
