*Cypher* is a 2002 science fiction spy thriller directed by Vincenzo Natali and written by Brian King. The film follows an accountant who is suddenly pulled into a world of corporate espionage. His new involvement takes a surreal turn when he meets a mysterious woman who reveals disturbing truths about the nature of his work and reality itself. *Cypher* had a limited theatrical release in the United States and Australia before being released on DVD on August 2, 2005. The film received mixed critical reception, though it earned recognition at the Sitges Film Festival, where actor David Hewlett won the Best Actor award.
