Biography
Murray Westgate was a Canadian actor best known for his long-running role as a television pitchman in Canadian Esso commercials during the 1950s and 1960s, particularly on *Hockey Night in Canada*. He also appeared in several film roles, including *Blue City Slammers*, for which he received a Genie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 9th Genie Awards in 1988. Westgate portrayed the Prime Minister of Canada in the film adaptation of *Two Solitudes*.
