Biography

Nicola Mary Coughlan is an Irish actress known for her roles in television. She gained prominence for playing Clare Devlin in the Channel 4 sitcom *Derry Girls* from 2018 to 2022. She also starred as Penelope Featherington in the Netflix period drama *Bridgerton*, which began in 2020. For her performance in the third season of *Bridgerton*, she received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. Additionally, she was nominated for a British Academy Television Award for her role as Maggie Donovan in *Big Mood*, which began in 2024.
