Biography

Nobuko Miyamoto is a Japanese actress who was born in Otaru, Hokkaidō, and raised in Nagoya. She was married to director Juzo Itami from 1969 until his death in 1997. During their marriage, Miyamoto regularly appeared in films directed by Itami, playing a central role in his work as both a leading actress and creative partner. Her career is closely linked to the influence of the Itami family in Japanese cinema.
