Biography

P. Sukumar is an Indian cinematographer, director, producer, and actor primarily working in Malayalam cinema. He is known for directing the film *Swantham Lekhakan* and for his cinematography work in over 65 films, including *Twenty:20*, *Azhakiya Ravanan*, and *Ee Puzhayum Kadannu*. He has also acted under the screen name Kiran in films such as *Chettayees* and *Kaikudanna Nilavu*. P. Sukumar has received critical acclaim for his work, earning the Kerala State Film Award for Best Cinematography in 1993 for *Sopanam* and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director in 2009 for *Swantham Lekhakan*. He is the elder brother of noted Malayalam film director P. Chandrakumar and is also a partner in a law firm.
