Biography
Pablo Neruda was a Chilean poet, diplomat, and politician who was awarded the 1971 Nobel Prize in Literature. He began to gain recognition as a poet at the age of 13 and worked in a variety of styles, including surrealism, historical epics, political manifestos, and prose autobiography. One of his most well-known works is the poetry collection *Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair* (1924), which features passionate love poems that helped establish his international reputation.
